When you register a player, we collect information you provide directly, including:

Parent and guardian information: name, email address, phone number, and any second parent or guardian contact information you provide.
Player information: name, date of birth, grade, school, and requested team or division.
Emergency and program information: emergency contact details and other information needed to operate the program.
Payment information: processed securely through our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

We may also automatically collect limited technical information through your browser, such as IP address and general usage data, used only to operate and improve the website. This information does not identify you individually.

CHILDREN'S INFORMATION

Mesa Toros is a youth sports program, and registering a player necessarily involves providing information about a minor. We collect a child's information only from the parent or legal guardian who registers them, and we use it solely to operate the program — including team placement, communication, safety, and league participation. We do not collect medical or health information through this website. Emergency medical treatment consent and injury-related coverage are handled separately by the Arizona Youth Football League under its own waivers and insurance. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us information directly without a parent or guardian, please contact us and we will address it.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

Process registration and payment;
Place players on teams and manage program operations;
Provide coaches, team managers, and program volunteers with the player and family information they need to manage their teams, including rosters, contact information, and emergency details. These individuals act on behalf of Mesa Toros and are expected to use this information only for program purposes;
Communicate with you about your player, the season, schedules, equipment, and program updates;
Respond to your questions and requests;
Maintain records and meet obligations related to participation in the Arizona Youth Football League (AYFL);
Protect the safety of participants and comply with applicable law.

TEXT MESSAGING (SMS)

If you opt in to receive text messages from Mesa Toros, we use your phone number to send the messages you consented to, such as program notifications and, where you have separately consented, marketing or promotional messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only by Mesa Toros and the service providers that help us deliver our messages, and for no other purpose.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers: companies that help us operate the program and this website, such as our registration platform, payment processor, and communications providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes.
League participation: information necessary for participation in AYFL, consistent with AYFL's own requirements. AYFL maintains its own registration and privacy practices.
Legal requirements: when required to comply with a law, regulation, court order, or legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of participants, families, or Mesa Toros.
Business transfer: in the unlikely event of a merger, dissolution, or transfer of the organization, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We use generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. Only authorized personnel and service providers have access, and they are required to keep it confidential. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your family's information.

HOW IS PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURED?

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally-identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized personnel and third party vendors have access to your personal information, and these employees and vendors are required to treat this information as confidential.
